Conversion of an attic apartment over three floors, with the main motive to dissolve the existing small parts and create a spacious luxury apartment. The winding rooms were structurally and visually opened and enlarged. From fixed stock and objects such as stair railings, wardrobe and flower troughs, became unique sculptures. The choice of colors and materials is reduced in order to give more space to the language of form and the composition of the objects with and among each other.

Zsolt Szalai ist ein Künstler und Designer aus Ungarn. Er verbindet Kunst mit Innenarchitektur und verwandelt Skulpturen in Möbel. Sein Konzept ist es, durch geschickte Material- und Farbwahl reduzierte, aber gleichzeitig einladende Umgebungen und Räume zu schaffen. Reizüberflutung soll vermieden und Umwelteinflüsse ausgeblendet werden. Gleich zu Beginn der Projekte hat Zsolt Szalai meist schon Visionen, was dabei herauskommt und wie genau was gebaut wird. Bereits mit Beginn seiner Karriere, etwa Mitte der 90er Jahre, begann er, Metall/Stahl und Corian im Innenraum zu verwenden und war damit seiner Zeit voraus. Worauf der Künstler sehr stolz ist, ist das große Vertrauen zwischen ihm und seinen Kunden. Trotz großer Konkurrenz durch namhafte Firmen und Designer, die den Kunden zur Verfügung standen, vertrauten sie immer auf sein Urteilsvermögen und seine Vision, und so entstanden bereits einzigartige Projekte. Die meisten Menschen wissen nicht im Voraus, wie sehr unterschiedliche Lebensräume Körper, Geist und Seele beeinflussen. Zsolt Szalai ist u.a. BREEMA® Practitioner (Body-Mind-Connection). Mit diesem Vorwissen versucht er, die bewussten Wünsche und die unbewussten Bedürfnisse der Klienten herauszufiltern, indem er sie gut kennenlernt. Alles sollte auf die betroffenen Personen zugeschnitten sein. Er sieht dies als eine Art Komposition einer Symphonie in einem Orchester und versucht, alle "Instrumente" zu harmonisieren. Eine große Einzigartigkeit ist unter anderem, dass die vom Designer entworfenen Objekte und Skulpturen von ihm und seinem Team geplant und anschließend in den eigenen Werkstätten gefertigt werden.
